Found new owner ![]() This pipe from a pre WWII collection did require a bit more restoration efforts than usual, but the outcome is definitely worth attention. Amazing straight grain, well balanced extended lovat shape, nice briar. The stamping prompts it could be an Ehrlich product - creature of the David P. Ehrlich company which was known since 1868 and was producing good and practical pipes during 100 years.

Found new owner ![]() A creature of the very interesting and underestimated American pipe maker. David P. Ehrlich company was founded in 1868 in Boston and has been producing and reselling meerschaum and briar (Algerian briar) pipes during exactly hundred years till 1968. But it seems the majority of pipes were made before the World War II (like our today's pipe as well). Moreover, many turned on the beginning of the XX century bowls were finished by George Bushee only in the 1970s already after the company closure. Nice, historical and collectable American bulldog! |
